What languages do you provide?
Iflingo provides interpretation and translation in 200+ languages and dialects through our interpreter network and remote (OPI/VRI) capacity, including American Sign Language and hard-to-source languages such as Wolof, Pulaar, Fulani, Tigrinya, Pashto and Dari.
Is Iflingo a certified M/WBE?
Yes. Iflingo Interpretation Services LLC is certified by the NYC Department of Small Business Services as an M/WBE (valid through 9/30/2031; certificate available upon request). New York State M/WBE certification is pending.
Which areas do you serve?
On-site interpretation throughout New York City, Long Island, Westchester, New York State and New Jersey, plus phone and video interpretation nationwide.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, ideally several business days ahead for on-site assignments and longer for conferences. We'll always do our best to cover short-notice and urgent requests, especially by phone or video.
Is there a minimum booking time?
On-site assignments have a 2-hour minimum. Phone and video sessions are scheduled based on your needs.
How do you vet your interpreters?
We screen every interpreter for language proficiency, interpreting skills, professional experience, credentials and references, and every interpreter agrees to confidentiality and our code of conduct before accepting assignments.
How do you protect confidential and health information?
Interpreters sign confidentiality agreements, receive only the information needed for each assignment and follow HIPAA-compliant practices for protected health information. Client information and documents are stored securely in encrypted, access-controlled systems and shared only with the assigned interpreter. We sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and your organization's confidentiality agreements.
Do you subcontract for other language companies?
Yes. We partner with language service providers that need dependable coverage in the New York area, especially for rare languages and ASL.

How can I join Iflingo as an interpreter?
Visit our Join Our Network page and submit the interpreter application. We welcome certified, trained and experienced interpreters, and especially those who speak rare languages or ASL.
