Communities we serve across New York
Spanish
Spanish is the most widely spoken language in New York City after English, used by communities from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Central America and beyond. Iflingo provides Spanish interpreters experienced with regional vocabulary and accents, for medical, legal, government and community settings in all five boroughs and New Jersey.
Haitian Creole
New York is home to one of the largest Haitian communities in the United States, especially in Brooklyn and Queens. Our Haitian Creole interpreters support hospitals, schools, courts-adjacent legal work and social-service programs, and many also interpret in French.
French
French connects New York with communities from West and Central Africa, Haiti, North Africa, Canada and Europe. Iflingo's French interpreters are often also fluent in African languages such as Wolof, Pulaar and Fulani, which is especially valuable for immigrant and asylum-related assignments.
Arabic
Arabic speakers in New York and New Jersey come from Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and other countries. We match interpreters to the dialect your client speaks whenever possible, for medical, legal and community assignments.
Wolof
Wolof is spoken by Senegalese and Gambian communities across New York, including Harlem and the Bronx. It is one of the languages Iflingo knows best: our network includes experienced Wolof interpreters who often also speak French and Pulaar.
Fulani / Pulaar
Fulani (also called Pulaar, Pular or Fula) is spoken across West Africa, including Senegal, Guinea, Mauritania, Mali and The Gambia. It is a hard-to-source language in the United States, and one where Iflingo's network, built by linguist experts, gives clients a real advantage.
Mandarin & Cantonese
Chinese-speaking communities in Flushing, Manhattan's Chinatown, Sunset Park and beyond need interpreters in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Iflingo provides interpreters in both, for healthcare, legal and government assignments.
Bengali (Bangla)
Bengali speakers form a large and growing community in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Iflingo supplies Bengali interpreters, many of whom also speak Hindi or Urdu, for medical, legal and public-sector work.
Russian & Ukrainian
Russian and Ukrainian speakers live throughout New York, especially in southern Brooklyn. Our interpreters cover both languages for hospitals, legal matters, social services and newly arrived families.
Pashto, Dari & Farsi
Afghan and Iranian communities in New York and New Jersey need skilled Pashto, Dari and Farsi interpreters, especially for resettlement, immigration and healthcare. Iflingo provides interpreters for all three.
Urdu, Punjabi & Hindi
South Asian communities in Queens, Brooklyn and Long Island speak Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, often alongside Bengali. Iflingo's South Asian language interpreters support medical, legal and community assignments.
Albanian
Albanian-speaking communities from Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia live in the Bronx, Staten Island and Westchester. Iflingo provides Albanian interpreters for healthcare, legal and government settings.
